Parker Nirenstein of the YouTube channel Vehicle Virgins gives us a first-person perspective of what it’s like to drive a 1991 RWB Porsche. This special edition started as a 1991 Carrera 4 on the 964 chassis but underwent a complete transformation by the legendary Akira Nakai, in collaboration with RDBLA.
The front end of this RWB Porsche is a sight to behold. It features an RSR-style front bumper, updated RWB headlights, and a widened body that’s adorned with meticulously placed handcrafted rivets. It rides on Rotiform wheels and sits on Bilstein suspension for improved handling.
Beneath the massive rear wing, you’ll find a 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six engine boosted by a full FabSpeed header and exhaust system. RWB Porsches initially faced skepticism from Porsche purists, but Akira Nakai’s vision was to make them look cooler and perform better on the track.
