Watch the World Premiere of the Porsche Taycan

Porsche Taycan World Premiere on September 4 at 9 am

And so the future begins. Porsche’s Taycan will be one of the most advanced production all-electric cars the world has ever seen. Porsche will reveal the car in all its splendor tomorrow, September 4th at 9 a.m. eastern time. You can watch the world premiere here on Supercars.net, via the embedded video below.

Rumors and stats of the Porsche Taycan have surfaced in the time leading up to this premiere. If all of the information we have so far is correct, the vehicle will come in three trim levels and the top trim level will be able to slap down somewhere around 700 hp, at least in short bursts. Other versions of the car will make around 600 hp and do 0-60 mph in under three seconds, according to Motor Authority. The car is also supposed to get a 240-mile range and be able to charge to 80 percent battery capacity quickly thanks to an 800 kW charger. This should yield 80 percent charge in about 15 minutes.

Inside, the Taycan has a very 911 interior. Porsche already let images if the car’s interior slip out. It’s a nice place to be, and we expect the cabin to be comfortable and roomy for the front and rear seats. The car is, after all, a four-door car, and it needs to be comfy and practical. Price has not been announced, but reports put it at $87,000. The company will likely sell all of the 40,000 models it has planned to make for the first year. So, brew your coffee around eight in the morn and then at nine sit back and watch the automotive industry take a giant leap forward.
