The Porsche 911 R On Track
The phenomenal Porsche 911 R stars in our penultimate video from Britain’s Best Driver’s Car 2016. Every autumn we set out to name Britain’s Best Driver’s Car, in our annual new sports car extravaganza. Last year the Ferrari 488 GTB saw off all comers to gain the title. This year the 488 GTB is invited back as reigning champion, and goes up against 10 all new sports cars including the McLaren 675 LT, Honda NSX, Aston Martin Vantage GT8 and BMW M2. With, effectively, a 911 GT3 RS engine in a GT3 chassis, all mated to a brilliant manual gearbox, can the 911 R be our favourite car of the year?
