VIDEO: Fun Drag Race Between a 911 GTS and Classic Electric 911

Welcome to the drag race you didn’t realise you needed in your life… Until today! Mat’s lining up in a new Porsche 911 GTS, and alongside him we’ve got… a classic 911?! Well, trust us, all is not as it seems. For starters, let’s look at the stats. Mat’s 911 GTS is powered by a 3-litre flat-six twin-turbo engine that can deliver 480hp & 570Nm of torque. It drives the rear wheels only, and it’s also a 6-speed manual. It tips the scales at 1,510kg. As for the classic 911, it’s had its engine ripped out and replaced with… a Tesla motor and battery! As a result, it now has the ability to put down 450hp & 400Nm! It’s also lighter than the GTS, weighing in at 1,275kg. So, how’s this going to play out?! Will EV power push the classic 911 to victory? Or will petrol-power win the day? There’s only one way to find out – LET’S RACE!
