When it comes to Porsche engines we all know and love the flat-6, but Porsche has also created some classic V8-engined cars too. Recently Porsche produced a video love letter to its very own V8 engine. Eight cylinders at 90 degrees from each other, and in the form of a ‘V’. It was love at first sight. It’s what made the Porsche 928 an instant icon. It’s what lives on in many of the Porsche fleet today. 2022 marks 45 years since the first eight-cylinder Porsche – the groundbreaking V8 that’s the beating heart of our mightiest hybrids, and which still continues to break new ground and win affection today.
