These unique creations undergo bespoke aesthetic transformations, ensuring each one is a singular masterpiece like this 1958 Porsche 356 Emory Special Speedster that is up for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The car in question here began life as a 1958 Porsche 356A coupe that was subsequently transformed into a Speedster before it was treated to Emory Special treatment in 2021 by Emory Motorsports. The transformation involved stripping the Speedster-style body to bare metal and adding custom features such as a re-contoured 550 Spyder-inspired nose with a vented oil-cooler grille, inverted decklid louvers, Pre-A-style rolled rocker panels, and raised wheel arches.
Finished in metallic blue and featuring cognac leather upholstery, the steel bodywork includes a custom Spyder-inspired nose, louvered deck lid, and removed bumpers, along with alterations to the wheel arches, rocker panels, hood panel, and lighting assemblies. Powering the car is a 2.6-liter Emory-Rothsport flat-four engine with Porsche 911 internals and bespoke components, housed in a custom-cast case. The engine is equipped with electronic fuel injection, individual throttle bodies, twin-spark coil-on-plug ignition, and dry-sump lubrication.
Additional features consist of a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, PEP adjustable shock absorbers, a 911-style rear suspension setup, 16” billet aluminum wheels, a black canvas soft top, fixed-back bucket seats, a Derrington-style steering wheel, electric air conditioning, and a concealed Bluetooth sound system.
