Taking an Electrified Porsche 911 Restomod for a Drive

Porsche 911s, particularly the iconic 964 generation, are revered for their timeless design, intoxicating engine note, and unparalleled driving experience. But what happens when you strip away these fundamental elements and replace them with electric power? Enter the Everrati Evergreen, a reimagined Porsche 911 Type 964 has gone through a radical transformation.

Beneath its classic body lies a fully electric powertrain. Everrati has removed the air-cooled flat-six engine and manual gearbox, replacing them with an OEM-grade electrified powertrain. This setup consists of a 500-horsepower electric motor and a 64 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of around 200 miles per charge.

The Evergreen Commission also pays homage to the legendary 964 RSR, a race car that dominated circuits worldwide. But is swapping the air-cooled flat-six engine to an electric powertrain worth it? Rory Reid from AutoTrader will answer that for us as he takes this electrified Porsche 911 restomod for a drive.
