Singer Big Sur Commission
We are massive fans of Singer here at Stuttcars. We love every singe car they have ever made because each and every car is unique and custom and a one-off based on the owners own desires. Every single car it produces from advanced prototypes or a bespoke commissions is the right balance between old and new, these are achingly beautiful cars that also have tremendous performance too. Their latest effort is no different.
Named the Big Sur, it is once again based on a 930-generation Porsche 911with a stunning Horizon Blue paint job overlaid with Racing Orange stripes. The Big Sur was revealed this week and features a 4.0-liter engine sending power to the rear wheels. The interior is trimmed in Cognac with leather weave seat centers, brass grommets, and piano black seatbacks. The car also gets four-way electric adjustment (very practical indeed).
As for the naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat-six, the engine gets a ceramic plenum theme, 4.0-liter badges with Singer Racing Orange over Horizon Blue striping on the cover, as well as a five-speed manual box to send all the oomph to the Michelin Pilot Sport-equipped rear tires!
Beautiful 911. Is it a 1978?

Amazing! This is the kind of car that I’d like to buy no questions asked. From the color combination to the tune. Everything has been tastefully done on this beauty!
Volkswagen actually killed this brand the moment they took charge of Porsche. No matter what fancy ways they market their cars now but all their models post 997/987 gen are big compromises and MISSING the following:
1. Hydraulic Steering of 997/987
2. Long Travel Brakes of 997/987
3. ‘Hand’ brake of 997/987
4. Short Wheelbase (Nimbleness) of 997/987
5. Sports car Dimensions of 997/987
6. Raw feel of 997/987
7. True & Realtime feedback of 997/987
8. Analog buttons with tactile feedback of 997/987
9. Analog dials and gauge cluster of 997/987
10. Better Visibility (Low Shoulder Lines) of 997/987
11. Pinky Lai Design and killer looks of the 997/987
Oh did I mention that 997/987 was the last gen of Porsche that was a TRUE SPORTS CAR? Post that VW took over Porsche and replaced everything with VW/Audi components and their greed for profits killed all the essential elements that make a Porsche a PORSCHE. Now they only make ‘Luxury Tourers’ disguised as Sports cars and there are rich dummies who buy them thinking they bought a sports car, lol. #ShameOnPorsche!
