Launched in late 2007 as a 2008 model, the 997-series 911 GT2 represents a significant chapter in Porsche’s history. Powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six engine equipped with variable geometry turbochargers, it delivers an impressive 523 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 505 lb-ft of torque at just 2,200 rpm, with a flat torque curve extending to 4,500 rpm.

This power enables the 997 GT2 to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 mph, making it the first Porsche road car to surpass the 200 mph mark.The engine’s power is managed through a traditional 6-speed manual transmission, complemented by factory-installed carbon-ceramic brakes with 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers.

The 997 GT2 is distinguished by its unique nose and splitter, rear wing with integrated air ducts, titanium exhaust components, and Porsche Active Suspension Management system on 19” wheels. The interior features sports bucket seats with leather and Alcantara upholstery, glass and carbon-fiber reinforced composites, and a premium stereo system.

This particular Porsche 997 GT2 currently listed for sale on RM Sotheby’s, completed in March 2008 and built to GCC specifications, was imported to Dubai in 2011. It is finished in the rare Ruby Red Metallic, featuring color-matched wheels and interior accents. Notable options include the Sport Chrono package, cruise control, Homelink, Bose sound system, and PCM satellite navigation.

The car has been meticulously maintained, with regular servicing by AR Motors in Dubai witha  full PPF was applied in 2022. This rare GT2 offers exceptional performance and is ready for daily use.
