Rare Opportunity: Pristine 2010 Porsche 911 GT2 RS For Sale

Single owner with less than 4,000 kilometers since new

The Porsche 997 GT2 RS is best described as extreme. With a top speed of 209 MPH, it boasts a powerful 620 HP from its twin-turbocharged 3.6L engine, mirroring the Porsche GT1 prototype Le Mans-winning race car.

Designed to reclaim Porsche’s engineering dominance, it aimed to surpass the Nürburgring lap record set by the Porsche Carrera GT. It achieved this by lapping the Nürburgring in a remarkable 7 minutes and 18 seconds.

Only 500 units were produced, each based on the 997 Turbo but enhanced with GT3 RS suspension, brakes, a GT1-inspired engine, and a rigorous weight reduction to 3,050 pounds.

This involved removing the all-wheel-drive system for rear-wheel-drive, ditching the rear seats, replacing the front seats with lightweight sport versions, using carbon-fiber front fenders, and swapping steel suspension parts for aluminum.

This specific GT2 RS, serial number 153 of 500, is currently up for sale on RM Sotheby’s. It was originally sold in Germany and has remained with its first owner, now residing in Switzerland. It has been sparingly driven, with under 4,000 km on the odometer.

Finished in Black with matching wheels and interior, it includes the Clubsport package, clear taillights, red seatbelts, a PCM stereo, and the sport chrono package. Last serviced in February 2024, it remains in exceptional condition and is a must-have for any modern Porsche collection!
