Rare Heritage Design 911 Speedster Up For Auction

Offered with 3,585 miles on the odometer

The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, while sharing the Speedster name with previous generations that embodied minimalist sports car ideals, is a far more aggressive and high-performance machine. Limited to just 1,948 units, this special edition commemorates the year Porsche first began production in 1948.

Unlike its predecessors, the 2019 Speedster is packed with bespoke features, starting with its manually operated fabric roof and signature double-bubble roof covers. To reduce weight, it includes carbon fiber body panels, interior trim, and carbon ceramic brakes. The Speedster shares its powertrain with the track-ready Porsche 911 GT3, featuring a 4.0L flat 6-cylinder engine producing 502 HP, paired with a 6-speed GT Sports manual transmission.

Porsche also offered an optional Heritage Design Package, priced at $24,510, which added unique elements like two-tone leather, black brake calipers with white “PORSCHE” script, gold “SPEEDSTER” badging, and silver wheels. Of the 1,948 Speedsters produced, only a select few were equipped with this coveted package, including this low mileage example set to be auctioned at Broad Arrow Auctions on October 12 and is estimated to fetch $375,000 to $425,000.

Additional features on this car include tinted LED headlights in black with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) and an optional no-cost air conditioning system, enhancing practicality without sacrificing performance. The CARFAX report indicates it was originally registered in Ontario, Canada, and maintained by Porsche of Naples, Florida.

With just 3,585 miles since new, the car now sports Gunther Werks GW9 Fuchs 20/21-inch wheels, honoring the classic Fuchs design, though the original factory wheels are included in the sale for those who prefer a more traditional look.
