The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster represents the final and, arguably, the finest version of the 991 generation, limited to just 1,948 units—a nod to Porsche’s founding year. Unlike Porsche’s minimalist origins, this Speedster is filled with custom features, including a manually operated fabric roof and distinctive double-bubble streamliner covers.
Weight-saving components like carbon fiber body panels and ceramic brakes enhance its performance. Beneath its wide, classic Speedster body with a low windshield, double-bubble rear decklid, and bold front and rear fascia, lies a race-proven chassis and drivetrain from the GT3 Touring.
The naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine delivers 502 HP, borrowing components from the GT3 R, such as individual throttle bodies, high-pressure injection, and a lightweight exhaust. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission from the 911R, the Speedster sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 192 mph.
Number 544 of the 1,948 Speedsters, this example is finished in Lizard Green with a black soft top, a black leather interior accented with green stitching, and ‘Speedster’ embroidery on the headrests. It features glossy carbon-fiber inlays, black 20-inch center-lock wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Additional equipment includes carbon-backed bucket seats, LED headlights, a front suspension lift, Chrono package, reversing camera, cruise control, and a Bose surround-sound system, among others. This 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is now offered for sale through Collecting Cars and has 2,450 miles on the clock.
