August 18, 2023: Referring to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering as a car show would be incorrect. Call it a “Concours,” and you would still be off the mark. Situated on the lawns at the Quail Golf Club in Carmel Valley is, instead, what I will call a Luxury Lifestyle gathering centered around the automobile. Now in its 20th year, The Quail has not only continued to be “the place” to be seen during Car Week in Monterey but also the savvy choice among upscale car manufacturers to unveil new products (no less than 17 reveals took place this year).

But here at Stuttcars, we are interested in one thing only: Porsche. Fortunately, the Quail has become very “Porsche rich,” featuring some of the world’s most respected Porsche builders and personalities. Now, regulars introducing their new models are Singer Vehicle Designs, Gunther Werks, and RUF Automobile. Others like Tuthill Porsche, Lazante, and Tedson Motors also leave their mark.
