Deeply devout people of all stripes live their lives hoping to, someday, visit the holy of holies of their faith. Jerusalem, Mecca, Vatican City, Dwarka, Bodhgaya and probably a few more that my liberal arts college never told me about call their people to pilgrimage. Since confession is good for the soul, I, too have a revelation to make – I just made a long-awaited pilgrimage. No, not to one of the aforementioned sacred cities. My trip was a visit to Stuttgart, Germany – home of Porsche AG, maker of the cars that have been a nearly fifty-year personal obsession.
