Porsche Of The Day: Carbon Noire Commission By Gunther Werks

The “Carbon Noire Commission” is a remastered version of the 911s based on the 933-generation by Gunther Werks. The car’s name reflects its exceptional carbon fiber and black finish. The carbon fiber displays distinctive brown tones when seen in natural light.

To perfectly match the natural finish of carbon fiber in both sunlight and shade, Gunther Werks created a special blend of colors, incorporating gold flakes into the metallic pearlescent finish of the painted panels. This unique custom color also extends to the Brembo brake calipers and 18-inch Gunther Werks wheels.

Throughout the vehicle, you’ll notice light gold accents, inspired by new Porsche GT2s, present on the badges and engine cover. The rear boasts a Gunther Werks custom-designed LED light bridge, while black Bi LED headlights contribute to its menacing appearance.

Inside the car, the dash, seats, and rear seat-delete are adorned with a tasteful combination of gloss black carbon fiber and luxurious cognac aeronautical leather, sourced from the same hides used in Gulfstream jets. The Alcantara steering wheel features a billet 12-o’clock marker, as does the five-axis milled sport button surround.

Powering the Carbon Noire Commission is a naturally aspirated, air-cooled 4.0-liter flat six-cylinder engine, reputed to generate over 400 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a remarkable 0-60 mph acceleration time of under four seconds.
