To mark the 70-year milestone of Porsche’s presence in Australia, Porsche introduced the limited-edition GT3 Touring ’70 Years Porsche Australia Edition,’ with just 25 units produced, all adorned in Fish Silver Grey metallic, paying homage to the first Porsche shipped to Australia.
Furthermore, each of the 25 Australian-bound units boasts Exclusive Manufaktur options valued at over A$90,000 above the standard GT3 Touring, encompassing distinctive badging, a custom interior color scheme featuring Graphite Blue with Madraskaro Check cloth inserts, a painted key with a matching pouch, and a ’70’ embossed armrest cover.
The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition represents a collaborative effort between Porsche’s Style Porsche design team, Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur customization department, and Porsche Cars Australia. This model is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package, marking the first-ever special edition created by Porsche exclusively for the Australian market.
It is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, delivering 503 horsepower and boasting a redline of 9000rpm. This powerhouse enables a swift 3.4-second acceleration from 0 to 60 mph when coupled with the seven-speed PDK transmission. It’s worth noting that this engine draws inspiration from the unit found in the 911 R endurance racer and is also utilized in the 911 Cup car, requiring only minimal modifications.
