The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is the first race car based on the current 911 model series 992. Like everything at Porsche Motorsport, the seventh race car generation is equally as committed to sporting success – it’s a tradition after all. Since 1990, Porsche has built and sold more than 4,250 copies of the world-renowned cup car.
With a wide, aggressive stance, this race car is designed for pure performance. Notable upgrades from the previous 991.2 model include an optimized intake manifold, electronic gearshift and power steering, a fully digital cockpit, a larger rear wing, and a double-wishbone front axle with a wider front track of 1,920 mm, compared to 1,902 mm at the rear.
The GT3 Cup is driven by a 4.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a six-speed sequential transaxle, producing a factory-rated 502 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. Its gooseneck rear wing and larger front lip generate more downforce, resulting in higher cornering speeds, sharper turn-in, and quicker lap times on twisty tracks.
