Brumos Racing, champions of the 2011 Rolex Grand-Am GT Championship, achieved victory using a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car driven by Hurley Haywood, Andrew Davis, and Leh Keen. To commemorate this victorious racing season, Brumos Porsche of Jacksonville, Florida, commissioned the creation of five 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, created to match the specifications of their championship-winning vehicle.
The cars feature a 4.0L engine crafted at Porsche North America Racing, an upgrade from the 2011 3.8L version. Adorned in Brumos’ iconic blue and red stripes on a Carrara White body with the number 59, these race cars come with a welded-in roll cage, electronic fire extinguishing system, MoTec ADL2 with data recording, carbon fiber doors, and an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing.
Powered by a 450 HP 4.0L flat-6 engine, paired with a 6-speed manual sequential gearbox and limited-slip differential, it’s a competitive force, suited for Porsche Club of America and Porsche Owners Club racing, thanks to its MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, along with center-lock wheels.
