The RGT was designed as a naturally aspirated supercar, combining performance, drivability, and reliability while honoring the legacy of the Porsche RS and RSR. Based on a 996, the build began with the installation of a roll cage, enhancing structural rigidity, safety, and strength.
The legendary “Mezger” 3.6L engine was upgraded with modified camshafts, a low-restriction exhaust, RUF induction, and remapped engine management, delivering 395 horsepower. Carbon fiber doors, hood, mirrors, engine lid, and spoiler, along with polyurethane aero components, helped reduce the car’s weight to just 2,990 pounds.
The suspension featured custom Bilstein shocks tuned to RUF specifications, while massive Brembo brakes—13.3 inches in the front and 13 inches in the rear—provided exceptional stopping power. Completing the package were RUF 19-inch Superleggera wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
