Porsche Of The Day: 2003 Porsche RUF 911 (996) 3.6 R Kompressor

Featured here is a a supercharged 996-generation 911, built by famed Porsche tuner RUF. The R Kompressor is based on a narrow-bodied 911 Carrera 2. RUF’s own centrifugal belt-driven supercharger was installed on the engine for optimal performance.

Additionally, the car is equipped with the X51 Powerkit upgrade, which includes a sports exhaust, GT3 alloy wheels, and a carbon-fibre RUF rear spoiler. The exterior of the car is finished in Speed Yellow, while the interior boasts a black extended leather trim with Speed Yellow highlights on the transmission tunnel. The electrically adjustable and heated sports seats feature Porsche crests, body-colored seat backs, and belts.

The car is mounted on 18-inch GT3 alloy wheels, outfitted with Continental tires, and complemented by yellow Porsche-branded calipers. Its 3.6-liter supercharged flat-six engine produces 409 horsepower, and power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
