The Porsche you see here is an exceptionally beautiful car and one of just two ever created by Gemballa GmbH, the German car manufacturer and vehicle tuner located in Leonberg. It is based on the Porsche 911 Type 993 and was initially commissioned by the Fulda tire company, who desired a distinctive sports car to showcase their new ‘Extremo’ tire. Given that the Type 993 version of the iconic Porsche 911 was the flagship model at the time, it was the natural choice for such a significant project.
Finished in black and boasting a maximum power output of 500bhp, the first Gemballa Extremo Speedster is currently and will continue to be owned by Fulda. During Fulda’s promotional event in Dubai, Sheik Abdul Mohsin of Saudi Arabia laid eyes upon this masterpiece and expressed a keen interest in purchasing the car. However, as Fulda was unwilling to part with it, Gemballa fulfilled the Sheik’s request by creating a second car, painted in a vibrant yellow hue, with an increased maximum power output of 600bhp which is the one you see here.
