Porsche Of The Day: 1989 Porsche 911 – Paul Stephens Clubsport 320 ‘Touring’

This is the Paul Stephens 320 Clubsport Series II and it is a very rare and bespoke ‘resto-mod’ example of the iconic 911 sports car. It is powered by a 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six engine, producing 320bhp, driven through the rear wheels via a five-speed ‘G50’ manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The Clubsport 320 is capable of sprinting from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds and going on to a top speed of 175 mph. It is understood to be one of only two such cars built to date, with the first being the show car, and this being the second.

Originally a red 1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera, it has been totally transformed by Paul Stephens into a bespoke AutoArt car. This was a complete nut-and-bolt rebuild, with the original body stripped to bare metal and de-seamed. The car is now finished in the subtle and contemporary shade of Crayon over a black leather interior with green and white tartan cloth seat inserts and matching door pockets.
