Porsche Of The Day: 1986 Porsche 935 By DP Motorsport

DP Motorsport is a German tuning company that came to prominence in the late 1970’s when they partnered with the Kremer brothers racing team. They started out as a supplier and manufacturer of various body parts such as rear wings, fenders, etc. The relationship between DP Motorsport and the racing team grew even more when the two worked together in creating the  Le Mans winning Kremer Porsche 935 in 1979.

Our featured car for today is a special example of a Porsche 935 that utilizes many feature and design cues from the ’79 Le Mans winner. It is basically the road going version of the Le Mans-winning Kremer Porsche 935 that was built by DP Motorsport. The car is powered by a 930-type 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six that produces up to 400bhp. It can accelerate from 0-62 mph in four seconds, and has a top speed of 186mph.
