Current Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT – Ultimate Guide
The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is back, and it’s even sharper, faster, and more focused than before. Available only as a Coupé, Porsche designed the Cayenne Turbo GT for maximum on-road performance, blending everyday practicality with true track-worthy handling, all without compromising its identity as a capable and refined daily driver.
At the center of it all is a heavily revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, now producing 650 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s a 19-horsepower boost over the previous version, enough to drop the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint to just 3.3 seconds. Top speed climbs to 305 km/h (190 mph), making the Turbo GT not only the most powerful Cayenne but also the fastest. To handle that extra output, Porsche made several internal upgrades to the engine, including new pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, and timing chain components. The changes support higher loads and improve long-term durability under demanding conditions, like aggressive track driving or spirited runs through winding back roads.
A titanium sports exhaust system comes standard, and it does more than just save weight. Positioned centrally and tuned specifically for this model, it gives the Turbo GT a distinctive sound profile. On startup, it delivers a low, deep growl. When driving in comfort modes, it quiets down for civilized around-town cruising, but switch into Sport or Sport Plus, and it comes alive with sharp, aggressive pops on gear changes and throttle lifts. It’s all part of what makes this SUV feel connected, alive, and undeniably Porsche.
But the Turbo GT isn’t just about straight-line speed—it’s built to carve corners. The suspension setup features a standard adaptive two-chamber air suspension with two-valve technology. It sits 15 mm lower than other Cayenne models, and that lower center of gravity pays off in high-speed stability and turn-in response. The Turbo GT also includes a wide range of chassis technologies as standard, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), rear-axle steering, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). Each of these systems contributes to precise handling and a level of agility that defies the SUV’s size.
A widened track and increased negative camber at the front axle further enhance cornering performance. And when it’s time to slow down, the standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) deliver serious stopping power with minimal fade. These carbon-ceramic brakes are lighter than traditional systems and help improve handling by reducing unsprung mass. Combined with the rest of the chassis setup, they allow the Turbo GT to carry speed with confidence and control through twisty sections of road.
Visually, the Turbo GT announces itself with subtle aggression. Its 22-inch GT Design wheels come standard in a Neodyme finish, exclusive to this model. Up front, the redesigned bumper features larger cooling air intakes finished in matte black. The theme continues at the rear, where the diffuser, wheel arches, and badging are also matte black. Carbon fiber is used extensively for the roof, rear diffuser trim, and spoiler sideplates, helping reduce weight and visually reinforcing the performance-first intent. The adaptive spoiler system is part of Porsche’s Active Aerodynamics and includes an enlarged spoiler lip to increase downforce at speed.
The interior is equally focused. Sport seats with integrated headrests come standard up front, and a matching rear sport seat configuration means the back seats aren’t just an afterthought. Upholstered in Race-Tex with perforated centers and accented by either Arctic Grey or Deep Sea Blue stitching, the Turbo GT’s interior feels cohesive and purpose-driven. The GT Interior Package also includes a Race-Tex-wrapped steering wheel with a center top marker in Racing Yellow and standard memory settings for both the driver and passenger.
Beyond performance, the Turbo GT gains all the upgrades seen across the 2024 Cayenne lineup. That includes the new Porsche Driver Experience with its curved digital instrument cluster and simplified control layout. The updated infotainment system improves responsiveness, connectivity, and ease of use, and the Turbo GT also comes standard with features like ambient lighting, a smartphone compartment with wireless charging up to 15 watts, and the new HD-Matrix LED headlights. These headlights offer high-resolution adaptive lighting and can adjust in real time based on driving conditions, improving both visibility and safety.
Standard driver assistance features include Lane Keeping Assist with road sign recognition and a proactive passenger protection system with reversible seatbelt pretensioners. Depending on market, features like Lane Change Assist and Active Parking Assistance with Surround View may also be included.
What really sets the Cayenne Turbo GT apart isn’t just its numbers, but the way it delivers them. Rear-axle steering makes tight turns easier in parking lots while enhancing stability during high-speed maneuvers. The suspension’s ability to quickly adapt to surface changes means the ride stays composed, even on uneven roads. And the combination of low center of gravity, lightweight components, and sophisticated electronics makes this SUV feel more like a high-performance hatchback than a two-ton utility vehicle.

Power for the standout athlete
The Cayenne Turbo GT introduced in 2021 immediately set standards in its segment with its uncompromising set-up for maximum longitudinal and lateral performance. Like no other vehicle, the Cayenne Turbo GT combines the spaciousness and practicality of an SUV with track-worthy handling. The new Cayenne Turbo GT is now even more powerful, faster and more dynamic than its predecessor. Due to current emission regulations, it is not offered in the markets of Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan and Singapore, among others.
With the model change, Porsche has enhanced the performance of the Cayenne Turbo GT: its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine now boasts an output of 485 kW (659 PS) – 14 kW (19 PS) more than before. With this performance boost, it sprints to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and posts a top speed of 305 km/h. Modifications to the pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft and timing chain drive equip the high-performance engine for heavy loads on and off the track. An exclusive sports exhaust system made of titanium with centrally positioned tailpipes creates an exhilarating engine sound that sets the Turbo GT apart from the other Cayenne models.
A widened track and an increased camber on the front axle of the Cayenne Turbo GT deliver particularly dynamic cornering performance. The standard adaptive two-chamber air suspension including PASM with two-valve technology, sports tuning and a 15-millimetre-lower body lowers the centre of gravity of what is currently the most powerful Porsche Cayenne. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and rear-axle steering are also part of the model’s standard equipment.
The new Cayenne Turbo GT has a particularly confident and dynamic look. Its exclusive 22-inch GT Design wheels come painted in Neodyme as standard. The model-specific front end with enlarged cooling air intakes, on the other hand, comes in matt Black. The rear apron, the wheel arches and the ‘PORSCHE’ and ‘Turbo GT’ logos on the rear of the vehicle also feature a matching matt Black. Porsche has designed the lightweight roof, the distinctive diffuser trim and the sideplates on the rear spoiler in Carbon. The standard elements of Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) with an adaptive spoiler and enlarged spoiler lip optimise the aerodynamics of the Cayenne Turbo GT and thus improve its performance and efficiency. The interior of the new Turbo GT offers electrically adjustable eight-way sports seats with integrated headrests in front, memory package and perforated seat centres in Race-Tex, and the rear sports seat system with matching upholstery.
