Porsche’s updated 911 Carrera S, now in its 992.2 generation, brings incremental but meaningful changes to the most popular trim in the lineup. The car still runs a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, now producing 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. While torque output remains the same as before, it’s delivered across a broader rev range, making the car more usable and responsive in everyday driving.
This version uses the same turbochargers as the previous 992.1 GTS, effectively putting GTS performance into the Carrera S badge. It hits 0–60 mph in the low three-second range and runs the quarter mile in the 11s. Although it is now PDK-only, Porsche has increased the amount of standard equipment—such as the sport exhaust and adaptive PASM suspension—which offsets some of the price hike. Overall, the increase is around 3–4 percent over the previous version.
