The Dependable 908

As previously noted, thanks to the revised Group 6 regulations for the 1968 season, the engine capacity limit was restricted to 3-litres. This allowed the Porsche factory racers to shift up a gear, becoming a serious threat to the more powerful race cars which included such illustrious names as Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Ford, Matra and McLaren to name a few.
