Pic of the week – Team Essex Porsche RS Spyder Evom

Autosport 1000 km of Silverstone, 14 September 2008: The #31 Team Essex Porsche RS Spyder Evo 3.4-litre V8, driven by the highly-experienced pairing of Casper Elgaard/John Nielsen, overcame a couple of challenges in the race. Here the car comes crawling through the Vale complex with its front left wheel missing. The RS Spyder bumped and scraped its way around the circuit all the way back to the old National pits (the new Wing complex had not been built yet), where the prototype was fitted with a new wheel. The car finished 12th OA and 5th in the LMP2 class, seven laps behind the similar class winning #34 Van Merksteijn Motorsport Porsche RS Spyder Evo. This race was the fifth and final round of the 2008 Le Mans Series season.
