This rare and stunning 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder with the ultra-desirable Weissach Package is set to make waves at RM Sotheby’s Miami auction in late February. The Porsche 918 Spyder redefined hypercar performance when it debuted in 2013. Its advanced plug-in hybrid system pairs a 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with two electric motors to deliver 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque. The V8, derived from the RS Spyder LMP2 race car, revs to an exhilarating 9,000 rpm. Porsche’s seven-speed PDK transmission and five drive modes enable everything from silent electric cruising to blistering “Hot Lap” performance, with a 0–60 mph time under 2.5 seconds.
This example is further elevated by the Weissach Package, a $84,000 factory option that reduces weight by approximately 100 pounds.
