Without a doubt, the Porsche 911 Turbo is one of the most legendary and recognizable sports car models in the market. Even a standard Porsche 911 Turbo leaves little to be desired. Still, there is always room for improvement, even for the most powerful, all-wheel-drive of the current 992 series to date. Somehow, it can still be refined and be made even more fascinating and desirable. This is what the specialists in Manhart demonstrated with the creation of the TR 800 based on the 911 Turbo S with extensive technical and visual refinements.
As per usual, the performance upgrade is the main goal of the project. It is also how the TR 800 got its name; the 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine got a turbo performance kit that came with a turbocharger and intercooler upgrade. Combined with a MANHART ECU remapping, power was increased by 183 hp and 165 Nm compared to the series, giving it an impressive total power of 833 hp and 965 Nm. Another upgrade is the MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and the MANHART sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters. It should be noted that the MANHART sports downpipes have no TÜV approval, so they are exclusively for export only.
The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) also got a MANHART upgrade so it can match the increased power of the turbo engine. Kept as standard is the brake system of the 911 Turbo, though it can also be upgraded on request.
Even the chassis was optimized, which was basically MANHART lowering springs by H&R. This helps in improving both the ride quality and comfort. Lowering the body by about 30 mm also had a few benefits like improved driving dynamics as well as an aesthetic upgrade. It was also given a forged MANHART Concave One rims with satin black finish and orange trim line that matches with the bodywork; the lowered body made it perfectly positioned in the wheel housings. The rims are 9.5 x 21 inches offest 35 and 12 x 22 inches offset 65, with the tires measuring 255/30ZR21 and 335/25ZR22.
TopCar Design’s complete MANHART carbon body kit makes the TR 800 a real eye turner. Numerous carbon add-on parts give the Turbo S a more exclusive and dynamic look, especially with its numerous add-on parts like the spoiler lip at the front and the frames for the air intakes of the apron. Other features include the mirror caps and side sills at the side and at the rear is the diffuser and the large, extendable rear wing.
Last but not the least is the MANHART decorative kit. In this case, the black decorative stripes and lettering on the bright orange finish can be seen on the bodywork, the windscreen, and the carbon parts at the front and rear of the 911. The same two-tone scheme can be seen in the interior which was fitted with a complete MANHART leather interior and floor mats with carries the MANHART logo.
