Magnus Walker showcases a 1986 Porsche 911 modified to resemble a vintage 1970s sports car with almost 350,000 miles on the odometer in his newest episode of OPP (Other People’s Porsches).
The car’s owner, Paul Kramer, shares the unique story of how the car was modified with front-end components from early 1970s 911s, a custom wood dash, and modern front bucket seats with plaid inserts.
The car, nicknamed “La Tortuga,” was intended for off-road rally races, but it handles well on concrete embankments and shallow water. Walker praises the car’s driveability and analog features like air conditioning and heat, the original 3.2-liter engine, and a durable transmission.
