Singer Vehicle Design – Lyon Commission
Today, we take a closer look at the Singer Vehicle Designs Lyon Commission. This left hand drive coupe is yet another green Singer (why do rich people love that color so much?). Likle’s other Classic Study cars, the Lyon commission was restored in Singer’s California center of excellence. This car was shared with the public in February 2022. It is a 4.0 liter rear-wheel drive coupe presented in a deep Leaf Green exterior color.
On the outside, this Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer is Leaf Green, with Nato Green stripes and lettering in Singer Racing Orange. Externally, the carbon fibre rear engine cover features lettering in Singer Racing Orange and brass badging. The rear bumperettes are matched to the car’s exterior in Leaf Green.
The car is powered by a 4.0L, naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat six – paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The interior is presented in Saddle Tan with leather weave inserts. The engine gets velocity stacks in a champagne gold finish and drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The owner has specified touring seats with 8-way electrical adjustment. These are trimmed in Saddle Tan with woven seat centers and brass grommets. Seat backs are leather-wrapped. The sills, transmission tunnel and lower surfaces in the rear compartment are painted in Leaf Green to match the exterior of the car. The front luggage compartment is presented in black, with orange stitching. Inside, gauges are presented in black with green markings, except for the tachometer which has markings in Singer Racing Orange. The shifter is specified in Mahogany and Maple. The door panels are presented in Saddle Tan leather-weave with orange stitching.
