Limited Edition 2005 Porsche Carrera GT Supercar Up for Auction

Features rare custom tailoring from Porsche Exclusive, available only for the 2005 model year

The Porsche Carrera GT remains one of the most legendary supercars ever built, a true masterpiece of engineering and performance. This 2005 example, finished in the iconic GT Silver Metallic over Dark Grey leather, is an exceptionally well-maintained collector’s piece with fewer than 4,600 miles on the odometer.

Originally designed as a successor to the 911 GT1 race car, the Carrera GT was born from motorsport DNA. Powered by a mid-mounted 5.7L V10 engine producing 605 horsepower, it delivers blistering performance—0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, 100 mph in under 7 seconds, and a top speed of 205 mph. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, topped with a distinctive beechwood shift knob. Its carbon-fiber monocoque, ceramic composite brakes, and magnesium wheels make it one of the most advanced road cars of its time.

This particular Carrera GT, chassis number 0994, was one of only 644 sold in the U.S. between 2004 and 2007. This Carrera GT features rare custom tailoring from Porsche Exclusive, available only for the 2005 model year. Unique details include GT Silver-painted wheels, contrasting seatbelts, and a thicker steering wheel wrapped in premium leather. Factory-equipped XT bucket seats, air conditioning, and a Porsche Online Pro CD radio complete the interior package.

In recent years, the car has undergone meticulous maintenance which included including Ohlins TTX36 adjustable shock absorbers—a popular upgrade among Carrera GT owners for improved ride quality and handling. Further extensive servicing was performed in January 2025, totaling over $55,000.

This meticulously maintained 2005 example is set to cross the auction block at RM Sotheby’s Miami auction in late February, offering collectors and enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own one of the most significant supercars of its era.
