Restomodding Porsches has surged in popularity over the last couple of years, thanks to companies like Singer Vehicle Design, Gunther Werks, Kalmar and many more, who have reimagined the classic 911. The market for these customized restorations spans a wide range of prices, and with the segment’s growth, more companies are entering the field, including Lab Eleven.
On a recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage on YouTube, we get a look at a striking Lab Eleven Porsche 911 restomod. According to Axel Weller, Lab Eleven’s U.S. distributor, this is the only Lab Eleven 911 in the country.
Built from a 1995 993 model, the car is fully disassembled, media blasted, and reassembled with mostly original Porsche parts—moving away from carbon fiber in favor of metal to ensure it can be serviced at any Porsche dealer using Porsche Classic components.
This model features a 3.8-liter engine with modified cams and a lightweight clutch, weighing approximately 2,640 lbs and delivering around 350 horsepower. It also includes period-correct 911R flares and lightweight door handles. Inside, the car boasts a beautiful Italian interior with Pepita fabric, Recaro seats, and an updated Porsche Classic radio with Bluetooth.
