Kaege Retro, a German-based company, has been building 993-based Porsche restomods since 2010. When Roger Kaege set out to design his version of a retro 911, he took a unique path compared to other firms by choosing the 993 as his base model.
While many use the older 964 model with its semi-trailing arm rear suspension, Kaege chose the stiffer 993 with its advanced multi-link rear suspension, blending modern engineering with classic F-model aesthetics. This combination of cutting-edge technology and timeless design, along with the use of Porsche parts for easier maintenance, has placed Kaege’s creations alongside renowned names like Singer.
The Porsche restomod featured in this video from ISSIMI Official on YouTube is a Kaege Retro Turbo is built on a 993 Turbo platform, featuring all-wheel drive and over 450 horsepower. Beneath its carbon-fiber engine cover and iconic ducktail spoiler lies a 993 Turbo S intercooler, enhanced by carbon-fiber details.
While the 1995 stock 993 Turbo produced 408 hp, the Kaege Retro Turbo delivers 450 hp, with the option to upgrade to 510 hp. Weighing just 1,290 kg, the car offers thrilling performance, no matter which power option is selected.
