Singer Vehicle Design – Japan Commission
Today, we take a closer look at the Singer Vehicle Designs Japan Commission. The carbon-fiber bodywork is presented in Midnight Blue with light-ghosted side stripes, top stripes and lettering. Bumperettes and rear deck-lid badging are presented in nickel. The air-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and the aluminum center-mounted external fuel filler is also specified.
Continuing our look at the Japan Commission with more details on the interior, as always tailored to the owner’s specifications. This 4.0L RWD coupe is appointed in Garnet leather by the experts at Singer’s interiors facility in California. Lightweight carbon fibre track seats are specified with leather-weave inserts and nickel grommets. Garnet leather continues back along the transmission tunnel and through into the rear compartment. The floor is carpeted in Haargarn Red.
The 4.0L air-cooled flat-six is specified with a ceramic plenum finish and is paired with a six-speed, manual transmission. Shift quality is carefully optimised for weight and feel by Singer’s dynamic development team to allow a perfect interface between driver and engine.
