Four Porsches With The Same 4-Liter Naturally Aspirated Flat-Six Drag Race Each Other

Carwow continues to provide us with fun and interesting drag racing videos and this one featuring four high-performance Porsche models: the 911 GT3, 911 GT3 RS, 718 Cayman GT4, and 718 Cayman GT4 RS, is no exception.

It’s worth mentioning though that all these cars represent Porsche’s highest performance models not to mention that all of them rear wheel drive vehicles equipped with the same engine and transmission but with different power output.  But before we dive into the race, let’s take a closer look at the specs.

First up is the 911 GT3 RS, meticulously crafted for the racetrack. It packs a 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine churning out 525 horsepower. Power is delivered through a 7-speed PDK transmission to the rear wheels, and it weighs in at 1,450 kg.

Next in line is the 911 GT3, equipped with the same 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 510 horsepower. It also features a 7-speed PDK transmission and rear-wheel drive. This beast accelerates to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and boasts a top speed of 198 mph, with a weight of 1,435 kg.

On the other hand, the 718 Cayman GT4 boasts a 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine generating 420 horsepower. It employs a 7-speed PDK transmission, exclusively driving the rear wheels, and carries a weight of 1,450 kg.

Last but not least, the Cayman GT4 RS also sports the same 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine but cranks up the output to 500 horsepower. It utilizes a 7-speed PDK transmission, powers the rear wheels, and is slightly lighter at 1,415 kg.
