FOR SALE: One-Of-A-Kind 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Backdate

Live now on PCARMARKET is a Canadian-market 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe that was commissioned as a one-of-a-kind backdate restoration by Olsen Motorsports in their Chicago facility in 2017. It comes with a metallic purple paint finish over a custom black leather and Alcantara upholstered interior and an air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six engine paired to a manual transmission.

The restoration involved disassembling and chemically stripping the chassis, replacing the original drip rails and roof with a lightweight carbon-Kevlar panel. The rear panels were widened using carbon fiber fender flares and a carbon fiber rear bumper in the style of an early 911. The front fenders, hood, and front door sections were also replaced with backdated carbon-Kevlar panels. The trim, including window moldings, door handles, wipers, and horn grilles, was refinished in hand-brushed nickel.

The car features 9Eleven Raven S LED headlamps with halo DRLs tied to the ignition circuit and an external oil filler port on the rear quarter panel with a custom cap inspired by an RS Spyder wheel lock. It has a metallic purple paint finish and rides on aftermarket 18″ Fuchs wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Inside the cabin, the car has custom black leather and Alcantara upholstery with hand-brushed nickel trim matching the exterior. The seats and door panels have diamond-stitching inlays. It is equipped with a custom set of instrumentation, a three-spoke carbon fiber MOMO steering wheel, Focal acoustic insulation, and a high-end sound system with Hertz Mille Pro speakers, JL Audio amplifiers, and a hidden 10″ subwoofer. The audio system is controlled by a Porsche Classic head unit (PCCM). The car also features a proximity key system that unlocks the car and turns on the halo DRLs when near, as well as keyless push-to-start functionality with a matching hand-brushed nickel button and trim plate.

Powering the car is an air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six engine built by Olsen Motorsports. The engine features a hand-picked LN Engineering rotating assembly, coated pistons, Ninemeister heads, RS Eurospec camshafts, a custom dual exhaust, individual throttle bodies, and MoTeC engine management with a custom wiring harness. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a reworked G50 transaxle with a “short stack” gear set. The car is also equipped with a Brembo braking system and a custom-tuned JRZ coilover suspension.

Don’t miss your chance to acquire a one-of-a-kind P0rsche 964 that perfectly combines usability with classic styling and will surely turn heads wherever it goes!
