FOR SALE: Low Mileage 2010 Porsche 911 (997.2) GT2 RS

Collecting Cars is currently offering a 2010 Porsche 911 (997.2) GT2 RS finished in black over black leather and Alcantara upholstery.

Limited to just 500 units, Porsche’s 997.2 GT2 RS is a brute, a lightweight, twin-turbocharged, 620-hp bout of madness that stemmed from Stuttgart’s quest to see how high up the sports-car ladder the 911 could punch. It is one of the most serious roadgoing Porsche ever.

The engine is a port-injected, 3.6-liter flat-six from the Le Mans–winning GT1 race car of the late ’90s, with a pair of variable-geometry turbochargers huffing a maximum of 23.2 psi of boost into the combustion chambers. The result is 620 hp at 6500 rpm and 516 lb-ft of torque at 2250. It gets a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-drive only.

This example is said to be the fourth out of a total of only 500 examples made worldwide, and it has had only two owners since it was first produced. The car is finished in a classic black color and has a satin carbon-fiber bonnet, door mirrors, side air vents, rear diffuser, rear spoiler insert, and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system.

The car comes with 19-inch twin five-spoke center-lock alloy wheels that are finished in gloss black and have yellow brake calipers with carbon-ceramic discs. The wheels are fitted with brand new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Inside, the cabin features black leather and Alcantara upholstery with contrasting stitching. The headrests have embossed Porsche crests, and the seat belts and door pulls are in red fabric. The car has carbon-fiber bucket seats.

The car comes with an Alcantara-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel with a yellow 12 o’clock marker, cruise control, a black Chrono fascia, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable dampers, switchable stability and traction control, and the PCM infotainment system.

This Porsche 911 GT2 RS is from the 997.2 era, and it is an all-black example of the marque’s renowned “Rennsport” offering. It has particularly low mileage and is in impressive condition. With its rear-wheel-drive chassis and breathtaking performance, this 911 is perfect for enjoying on the road or track, or for adding to a collection of Porsche greats.
