Live on Bring A Trailer is a delivery mileage example of Porsche’s first publicly available rally car, the 911 Dakar.
Unveiled at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 911 Dakar pays tribute to the Porsche 953’s triumphant victory in the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally. This remarkable model is derived from the Carrera 4 GTS but has undergone significant modifications to enhance its off-road capabilities. These include heightened ground clearance, all-terrain tires, specialized drive modes, and weight-saving measures.
The exterior of this particular example is finished in white, complemented by a black leather and Race-Tex interior. It comes equipped with an adjustable lift system, rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Rally Launch Control, rally and off-road driving modes, cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes with vibrant red calipers, and 19″ and 20″ forged alloy wheels with knobby tires. Additionally, it features dynamic engine mounts, stainless-steel skid plates, a carbon-fiber hood, a fixed rear spoiler, and carbon-fiber bucket seats.
Powering the 911 Dakar is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L flat-six engine, identical to the one found in the Carrera GTS, with a factory rating of 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. It utilizes the cooling system from the 911 Turbo and Turbo S and shares the GT3’s dynamic engine mounts. Power is seamlessly distributed to all four wheels via an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transaxle and three differentials. The exhaust system, constructed from stainless steel, culminates in dual black tailpipe finishers protruding through the rear fascia.
Limited to just 2,500 units and with all of them already sold out, the only way to get your hands on a 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar is through the used market and you won’t be able to find another example that is as pristine as this one. So, don’t wait too long before placing your bids on Bring A Trailer before this one gets away!
