The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, based on the 991.2 generation, was produced in a strictly limited run of 1,948 units, commemorating the year Porsche began production and its iconic legacy. This example, offered for sale on Collecting Cars, is 544 in that exclusive series.
Sharing its powertrain with the 911 GT3, the Speedster features a 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 502 HP paired with a mandatory 6-speed GT Sports manual transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 192 mph.
This 991 Speedster is finished in striking Lizard Green with a contrasting black soft top. The black leather-trimmed interior is accented with green stitching, “Speedster” embroidery on the headrests, and glossy carbon-fiber inlays.
Built using the rear body of the Carrera 4S Cabriolet and the front end of a 911 GT3, the car also incorporates carbon-fiber front wings and bonnet from the 911 R, the rear apron from the GT3 Touring, and an entirely new carbon-fiber rear deck.
The Speedster features a recalibrated all-wheel steering system, slightly softened GT3 suspension dampers for improved ride compliance, and the 911 GT3’s high-performance characteristics. It rides on black 20-inch twin five-spoke center-lock wheels, yellow calipers, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Additional equipment includes carbon-backed bucket seats, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), front suspension lift, Chrono package, reversing camera, cruise control, light design package, PCM with online navigation, digital radio, and a Bose surround sound system.
