The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster inherits Stuttgart’s latest advancements while paying homage to the original Porsche 356 Speedster. This design combines elements from the 4S Cabriolet body, carbon fiber components from the 911 R, and front and rear bumpers from the GT3 Touring, creating a unique 911 silhouette. Notably, the Speedster distinguishes itself with a shorter, more sloping windshield frame and a lower profile.
One exclusive offering for this limited-edition Speedster is the Heritage Design package, which adds aesthetic touches inspired by Porsche’s rich motorsport history. The distinct livery draws inspiration from factory-built competition 356 racers, and the Silver Metallic paint color recalls a time when cars primarily featured this elemental shade.
The iconic ‘PORSCHE’ graphic in classic sans-serif font stretches from one wheel to the other, curving outward at the rear to accommodate the wide rear wheel arches. The 20-inch satin platinum wheels with black center locking hubs are both functional and stylish, and they are exclusive to the Heritage Design Speedster, further enhancing its unique appeal.
The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster featured here, courtesy of Bring A Trailer, is currently available for sale with 914 miles on the odometer. This particular example is #1,675 of the total 1,948 units produced and is equipped with the optional Heritage Design package. This package includes GT Silver Metallic paint with white graphics, “gumball” racing numbers, gold-tone Speedster badges, black brake calipers, and full-color Porsche crest center caps.
The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six sourced from the GT3. It features VarioCam Plus valve timing and was updated for the Speedster with revised individual throttle bodies and high-pressure fuel injectors. The factory-rated output stands at 502 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque, which is channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The vehicle comes equipped with various features, including Cognac and black leather upholstery, hard-backed bucket seats with Pepita cloth inserts, the Chrono Package, white-finished 20″ center-lock wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, a front-axle lift system, LED headlights with PDLS, an extended-range fuel tank, a black soft top, a carbon-fiber twin-hump convertible-top cover panel, the Light Design package, Porsche Communication Management, navigation, automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and a speed-activated rear spoiler.
Powered by an exceptional flat-six engine mated to an engaging manual gearbox, this low-mileage, limited-edition 911 is now ready to be enjoyed on warm summer days and would make a stunning addition to any collection of limited-edition supercars.
