The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, celebrated as the highlight of the 991 generation, was produced in a limited edition of just 1,948 units, commemorating Porsche’s first year of production. Departing from the brand’s early minimalist roots, this Speedster is loaded with bespoke features, including a manually operated fabric roof aimed at reducing weight, along with the signature double-bubble streamliner covers. Additional weight-saving elements include carbon fiber composite body panels, interior trim, and carbon ceramic brakes.
Now offered for sale on Collecting Cars, this 991-generation Porsche 911 Speedster is number 15 of the limited 1,948-unit production and has covered 9,950 kilometres since new.
Finished in Guards Red with a black leather interior accented by red highlights, it rides on satin black 20-inch center-lock wheels with a red rim, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Features include heated, adjustable seats, climate control, Sport Chrono, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
The Speedster is powered by a 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-6 engine producing 502 horsepower, featuring parts borrowed from the GT3 R, such as individual throttle bodies, a high-pressure injection system, and a lightweight exhaust. It is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission from the 911R, with no PDK option.
