FOR SALE: 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder

A one-owner example showing 930 kilometers (578 miles) on the odometer

The Porsche 918 Spyder redefined the hypercar segment by integrating race-car performance, state-of-the-art technology, breathtaking aesthetics, and environmental consciousness. This particular 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, listed for sale on Collecting Cars, has had only one owner and has covered a mere 930 kilometers (578 miles) since new.

A true engineering marvel, the 918 Spyder balances raw performance with impressive fuel efficiency. Porsche’s ambitious goal was to craft a world-class supercar capable of delivering exhilarating acceleration, razor-sharp handling, and a remarkable city/highway fuel economy of 67 mpg. Production was limited to 918 units, built over 21 months between late 2013 and mid-2015.

At its core, the 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid powerhouse featuring a purpose-built 4.6-liter V8 engine producing 608 horsepower—derived from Porsche’s RS Spyder race car—paired with two electric motors. The rear wheels receive additional power from a 154-horsepower electric motor. Performance figures are staggering, with a 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.5 seconds and a factory-rated top speed of 217 mph.

This stunning example is finished in Liquid Metal Silver, featuring carbon-fiber elements such as the front splitter, B-pillars, and rear diffuser. The cabin is upholstered in Mocha Brown leather with contrasting orange piping, embroidered ‘918 Spyder’ logos, and Porsche crests embossed on the headrests, complemented by dark chrome, brushed aluminum, and carbon-fiber accents.

It rides on staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear gloss-black alloy wheels with diamond-cut faces, housing green brake calipers over carbon-ceramic discs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Factory-fitted equipment includes LED headlights, a reversing camera, carbon-fiber-backed bucket seats, adaptive suspension, a Burmester sound system, a nose lift system, and cruise control.
