Ferry Porsche commissions the design and build of a mid-engine sports car
In 1948 the 356 project that began as a ‘VW sports’ proudly bore the Porsche name. Its occupants showed how high the folding roof would need to be, clipped as it was to the centre post of the frameless windscreen.
