A drag race involving off-roaders may not usually be very thrilling. However, both the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, recognized as off-road performance icons, have gained fame for their performance on asphalt and tracks. With raised suspensions and impressive off-road capabilities, they have redefined their potential for performance.
The Sterrato is based on the original Huracan and features the same 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine, producing 610hp and 560Nm in this iteration. Power is distributed to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle’s weight is stated at 1,470kg, although this is the dry weight; it’s believed the actual weight is closer to 1,600kg. As an off-roading supercar, the Sterrato boasts additional modifications compared to the regular Huracan, including body cladding, off-roading tires, and a lifted suspension.
Moving to the Porsche, it is powered by a 3-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine delivering 480hp and 570Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed PDK gearbox, with a weight of 1,605kg. Similar to the Lamborghini, the Porsche 911 Dakar is also equipped with suitable off-roading tires.
