Many consider the 2024 Porsche 911 S/T as the ultimate Porsche 911 as it combines the best features from various 911 models, boasting the potent engine from the GT3 RS, a manual transmission, and an extremely limited production run.
At the heart of the 911 St lies a potent powertrain borrowed from the acclaimed GT3 RS model. Equipped with a formidable 4.4L naturally aspirated flat-six engine, the Porsche 911 S/T produces just under 520 horsepower, propelling it from 0 to 60 mph in the low to mid 3-second range. This impressive performance is further enhanced by the inclusion of a manual transmission, offering enthusiasts a more engaging driving experience reminiscent of Porsche’s racing heritage.
Another defining characteristic of the 911 S/T is its focus on weight reduction. As the lightest variant of the 992 Porsche 911 lineup, more focus has been paid to shaving off excess weight wherever possible. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic is utilized extensively for exterior panels, while magnesium wheels and lighter interior components further contribute to the overall reduction in weight.
Despite its track-inspired origins, the 911 S/T boasts a more refined exterior design, drawing inspiration from the GT3 Touring model. Eschewing the extravagant aerodynamic elements found on the GT3 RS, it emanates a subtle yet commanding presence on the road.
But with a starting price of around $300,000, is it really worth it? Let’s watch this video from Doug DeMuro as gives us his take on this limited-edition Porsche 911 as well as its quirks and features.
