The 2019 model year concluded the seventh-generation 911 production. To celebrate this milestone, Porsche introduced the GT2 RS Clubsport as the grand finale of the 991 series. Debuting at the LA Auto Show in 2018, alongside the new 992-generation 911, the GT2 RS Clubsport became Porsche’s most powerful GT customer sports car to date.
This limited-edition, track-only 911 GT2 RS version was produced in just 200 units, quickly becoming a coveted item for enthusiasts and a regular at track days and factory-backed Clubsport events worldwide.
The example you see here courtesy of Collecting Cars originally came in white like all GT2 RS Clubsport cars. It features a gloss-finished carbon-fiber roof, bonnet, and air intake surrounds, with a matte-finished carbon-fiber rear bumper, diffuser, and rear wing.
The minimalist interior includes black trims, exposed carbon fiber, and an Alcantara dash top. Notable features include air conditioning, a race steering wheel, a battery isolator switch, switchable ABS, ESC and traction control, and a digital dashboard.
The GT2 RS Clubsport retains the 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine from the 911 GT2 RS, producing 700 brake horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. This powertrain, paired with a PDK transmission and paddle shifters propels the car to 0-100 km/h time of just 2.7 seconds and a top speed over 320 km/h.
Key features include an advanced exhaust system for better gas flow and forged suspension links with three-way adjustable dampers for customizable handling. Weighing 75 kilograms less than the GT2 RS, the Clubsport achieves this weight reduction through extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic in the roof, bonnet, front bumper, doors, tail, and engine cover.
