Brooklyn Commission By Gunter Werks Heading For Auction

One of only 25 bespoke 993s 'remastered' by Gunther Werks

While many have modified the 911 over time, Gunther Werks stands apart, envisioning a scenario where Porsche continued refining the 993 with modern materials and engineering. Leveraging CEO Peter Nam’s expertise in composites and engineering, the company embarked on a mission to reimagine the 993.

Starting with a standard 993 coupe, Gunther Werks reconstructed the vehicle, employing an extensive array of lightweight carbon fiber panels. Their bespoke approach extended to the cabin, where 80% of the interior was custom-crafted. Beneath the surface, a tailored suspension system and a potent 4-liter flat-six engine, meticulously rebuilt and enhanced to produce  430+ horsepower.

One of their creations known as the Brooklyn Commission is scheduled to hit the auction block on Bonhams’ upcoming Miami auction. This Gunther Werks 911 coupe is what you would like to call as the ultimate 993. Every aspect of this stunning automobile showcases the expertise of its builders, from the exquisite Voodoo Blue paintwork to the bespoke blue leather, Pepita houndstooth fabric, and carbon fiber cabin.

Unique details abound in this project, from classic-style multi-piece alloys to bare carbon mirrors and decklid trim. The cabin features striking carbon sport seats, complemented by Heuer rally chronographs and a custom alloy plinth. Notably, this particular Gunther Werks 993 includes optional rear seats, adding practicality to its performance prowess.

With its 430+ horsepower 4-liter Rothsport engine, this masterpiece delivers a thrilling and roaring driving experience. The limited run of just 25 cars ensures exclusivity, making the Brooklyn Commission a highly coveted gem for enthusiasts seeking the ultimate expression of Porsche’s legendary 993.
