First Look at the Porsche 911 “Spirit 70”

This new 911 celebrates the bold and colorful spirit of the 1970s

Porsche has just unveiled the latest model in Porsche’s Heritage Design Edition lineup  called “Spirit 70,” and the folks from 9WERKS TV on YouTube gives us an exclusive first look on this special-edition 911. This new 911 celebrates the bold and colorful spirit of the 1970s—and it does so with unmistakable style and meticulous attention to detail.

The Spirit 70 is the third entry in a planned series of four Heritage Design models. It follows the 1950s-themed Targa and the 1960s-inspired Sport Classic. This time, Porsche channels the energy of the ’70s with a bold design and modern performance.

Based on the 992.2 Carrera GTS, it features a hybrid powertrain that pairs a 3.6-liter flat-six engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 532 horsepower and 449 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK transmission, propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 194 mph.

Only 1,500 units of the Spirit 70 will be built with a starting price of $240,000. Porsche has also opened its PTS (Paint to Sample) program for the Spirit 70, offering buyers over 150 color options to personalize their cars even further.
