Singer Vehicle Design, founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by Rob Dickinson, aimed to create the ultimate air-cooled 911 by blending features from various 911 generations. Starting with a 964-generation 911, Singer meticulously ‘reimagines’ the car, combining the essence of Porsche’s most iconic models.
Owners can choose from a coupe or Targa body, rear- or all-wheel drive, and a 3.6-, 3.8-, or 4.0-litre engine. Each car undergoes a complete disassembly, with carbon-fiber panels replacing the original parts like the fenders, bumpers, and decklid. From there, the customization options are endless, ensuring no two Singers are identical.
The ‘Fiona Commission,’ one such creation, features Singer’s 4.0-litre flat-six engine paired with a G50 five-speed manual transmission, delivering 390 bhp and 315 lb-ft of torque. The car can reach 60 mph in under 3.3 seconds and 100 mph in 8.2 seconds.
Finished in Midnight Blue, this 911 has Fuchs-style wheels, Brembo brakes, and Ohlins suspension. Its design includes a carbon-fiber roof and vintage-inspired touches like an exposed center-mounted fuel cap and oil filler. Inside, it features track-spec seats in cognac leather, an Ivory headliner, and an Espresso leather dash.
A wooden 917-style gearshift knob and vintage-style gauges add character, while modern amenities like air conditioning and a stereo enhance comfort. Offered for sale on Bring A Trailer with less than 3,200 miles since its completion in 2016, the car epitomizes bespoke craftsmanship and Porsche’s iconic legacy.
